We have an immediate requirement for a Group Marketing Coordinator to join our Merchandising team in Port Moresby.
The Role: Reporting to the General Manager – Merchandising, the Group Marketing Coordinator has the primary role of bringing together all of the various marketing elements from across the organisation and ensuring they are delivered. By understanding the strategic intent of the business divisions, planning forward activity and coordinating with the various external and internal stakeholders, this role will ensure the success of the Group’s marketing programs and “go to market” activity.
Key Responsibilities:
· Participate in strategic discussions regarding the Group’s marketing strategy, with a view to execute plans that deliver positive outcomes for the organisation.
· Contribute to the development of brand and customer communication, with a view to ensuring strong brand loyalty and protection of the Group’s reputation.
· Regularly engage with all key internal stakeholders to ensure that all plans remain within agreed timelines and that works being completed by external partners, is being delivered on time and to the agreed standard.
· Coordinate, track and monitor Group marketing activity to ensure that the goals of the organisation are being delivered and within budget.
· Assist in the development of annual marketing plans for Divisions and Group.
· Ensure a focus on budget/cost delivery. Monitor and communicate exceptions to the respective General Manager.
· Provide accurate reporting to senior leadership on the success of marketing programs and suggestions for improvement where identified.
· Assist Manager’s in providing monthly reporting on marketing programs.
· Provide timely escalation of any business risks in relation to the Group’s brand and customer messaging.
· Work with key partners such as Orange Digital, Colony Group and other third-party providers to provide quality briefing information, coordination, and delivery of quality outcomes.
· Provide timely response to internal and external queries.
· Manage exceptions and maintain strong communication with General Managers, CFO and CEO.
· Participate in additional activities as directed by the senior management team or as required.
· Liaise with other divisional resources to ensure alignment of activity and outcomes remain timely.
· Analyse existing workflows and use initiative to improve performance and/or outcomes.
· Maintain a safe and working environment at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and or related field
· 3-5 years of experience Marketing as a Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Specialist, Marketing Executive or similar
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· High organisational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
· High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
· Team oriented
· Customer Service oriented
· Marketing trend awareness
Potential must be flexible to work Saturdays, and on public holidays when required. This role requires a Police Clearance certificate as a minimum requirement.
