Early every year we find ourselves running around to
borrow money from CCS, money lenders, friends, relatives
and many other sources to pay school fees. This places a
lot of stress on ourselves and affects our performance
at work.
As parents it is our responsibilities to pay these fees.
Furthermore, it is our childrens’ right to be educated.
We can only suggest that you try the following points as
a way to help you to put some money away for school
fees…..
1. Every
payday put some money in a savings account, especially
for school fees.
2. If you prefer, you can get it deducted from your
salary into the Education Savings with NASFUND - under
your name. See your Payroll Officer for more details.
3. When you receive your overtime pay, put it towards
your education savings.
4. Spend your money on important expenses like good
food, necessary clothing and other essentials.
5. If you want to spend your money on luxury items, ask
yourself can I afford it? Do I and my family really need
it?
If your answer is no, then maybe you can live without
it. And save.
